2024 Annual Dinner and Awards evening

The November date will be announced in the autumn of 2024. All members welcome to attend. Includes the young Riders Awards, awards for mountain biking, volunteers and long distance, time trial awards and racing awards, cycler cross awards. All trophies medals and awards are either equal in number for male and female or are gender neutral.

Social Evenings on the 3rd Thursday of every month

Worcester St John’s Cycling Club Social Evenings are usually held on the on the third Thursday of every month from 7pm at the characterful Worcester Auto Centre(WAC) Motor Cycle Club. There’s parking and good cycling paths via the canal and Perdiswell Park. All club members are welcome to enjoy the bar – hot and cold drinks, alcoholic and soft, crisps snacks etc. and very reasonably priced.

Occasionally there is an activity or guest speaker – keep a look out on our facebook page to see whats planned. If there is something you’d like to see at a future social evening, we’re open to suggestions, if not, just come along for a chat.

WAC is at Tower Buildings, Perdiswell Park, Worcester WR3 7NW- a little tricky to find first time- just look out  for a white village hall style building with a tower at one end.

Cycle Jumble

The next annual Worcester St John’s Cycle Club Jumble will be February 2025 at either Hallow Parish Hall (and scout hut) as previous years or a new venue tba.

 WSJCC Reliability Trial

A SUNDAY in JANUARY 2025 AT 09:00 to be announced.-WAC Motorcycle Club, Tower Buildings, Perdiswell Park, Worcester WR3 7SN

 
Join us at the end of January and see what you’ve got in your legs on the WSJCC Reliability Trial. Your choice of either 46 miles or 33 miles or childrens off-road 8 mile ride.
Sign on at the WAC from 0900. The faster riders on the long route will be set off first at 0930. Riders will be set off in groups of up to about 12. Those wanting to do the shorter route will be set off after the longer route riders.

Finish back at the WAC for coffee and cakes, available until until 2pm.
Traditionally, the usual club rides do not run during this event and members support the club by following either of these routes and joining us for coffee and cake at the end.
Club members – donations of cake will be appreciated.

Cost: £5 per rider – all profits will be donated to Cure Leukaemia.

Club Annual Awards Dinner

The Club holds an annual dinner each November at which there is a presentation of the Cub trophies and awards for the year. It’s a family occasion for all Members, including young riders. The 2024 date will be announced in the autumn. All members welcome to attend. Includes the young Riders Awards, awards for mountain biking, volunteers, long distance cycling, time trials, road racing and cyclo cross. All trophies, medals and awards are either equal in number for male and female or are gender neutral. Details will be e-mailed to all Members and appear on Facebook.
