The Club has a Facebook Group page which is a popular place for discussion of all things cycling, club announcements and events.

Not everyone is a Facebook user so we have now build in a Facebook Group page feed that you can see the 20 most recent posts.

Worcester Council are proposing to lift the cycling ban on City Centre. Unfortunately Cllr Alan Amos is doing his best to stop this happening by saying such things as "cyclists are involved in more accidents than any other group of travellers using the road". Worrying given that he's responsible for Highways at the County Council. I'd there like to ask a favour. Please can you use this link to complete a short survey (Worcester City Centre Traffic Regulation Order) expressing your support for lifting the ban. www.worcester.gov.uk/voiceit

It'd also be great if you could forward this request to other cyclists.

Saturday brisk chaingang - Overbury Hill

February 17, 2018, 10:00am

8 tough, weatherproof riders optimistically turned up for today's social ride. A devious, pre-prepared and totally selfish plan to ride into the weather (and secretly give up if it got too bad) was launched. The plotting continued with the overly officious ride leader barking orders for any breakaway to come back (and shelter him from the wind). When JC smugly announced his front door was jammed this morning with all the post, a mutinous panic ensued to get us straight back to Tescos ASAP for the last of the flowers and choclates). The charge reached 20mph at one point (great fun!). Courtesly regrouping for the last few miles, we stopped for goodbyes at the St Peter's pull-in. A strangely enjoyabe ride! ... See MoreSee Less

Two options for local Reliability Rides this sunday - Malvern and Wolverhampton. I'm opting for The Wheelers' 100km as a way of visiting somewhere new. Room for one more in my car (and happy for ride companions at 15mph though thats not compulsory). ... See MoreSee Less

The club Air Ambulance table at the jumble raised £821.15 this year, with a little more to come in from odds and sods. This will keep the helicopter in fuel for about 3 hours! StourbridgeCC hosted a very welcoming Reliability Ride this morning. 3 of us in the second group took 3 hours to cover the 45 miles which included a rather lumpy middle section (3,000ft). Staggered 10 minute starts with the slowest groups first off meant there were plenty of riders all round the course chasing those ahead, and of course being overtaken themselves. It also meant many riders arrived back at the same time leading to a very lively tea and cakes scene! Good fun day out. ... See MoreSee Less
