The Club has a Facebook Group page which is a popular place for discussion of all things cycling, club announcements and events.

Not everyone is a Facebook user so we have now built in a Facebook Group page feed that you can see upcoming and past events.

Please note, only WSJCC Facebook member’s events will be displayed. There may be more events on our Facebook Group page, so where possible always check the official page here.

Wellbeing & Introductory Ride

Wellbeing & Introductory Ride

May 23, 9:30am - May 23, 11:00am

Hillers Farm Shop & Restaurant Dunnington Heath Alcester B49 5PD Map

This ride will start from Hillers Garden Centre Dunnington Heath Farm Alcester B49 5PD on Sunday May 23rd, 2021 meeting at 9.15 and then setting off at 9.30. You may want to drive to this location, there is parking on site, we have been asked to use the overflow area, it is clearly signposted.

We have been and checked our planned routes, one is 9 miles round and the other 11.2 miles, after the first loop we will return to the farm shop so any rider wishing to drop off at this point can do so with ease, we had to revise the second route due to a road closure in the area and you will see we will have to backtrack along part of the route. We propose to ride at an average speed of 9-12 mph, no one will be left behind and on return plan to enjoy refreshments (please ensure you bring a face covering with you).

It would be much appreciated if you are planning to join us to tick ‘GOING’ or 'Interested' as this will help the WBR team organise the ride groups. Finally, if there are concerns about the potential weather conditions, we will post a warning message on FaceBook the evening before and make the final decision at 7.30am on the morning of the ride.

Wellbeing & Introductory Ride

Apr 25, 9:30am - Apr 25, 12:00pm

St Peters Garden Centre

This Wellbeing & Introductory ride (9-11 mph) is scheduled to start from St Peter’s Garden Centre, Norton on Sunday 25th April meeting at 9.15 am and setting off at 9.30 am. For those of you planning to drive to this location you will find plenty of parking on site.

We have two options for you to choose from:-

1. A 22 mile loop
2. Two loops organised of approx. 10 miles of which you may opt to do one or both (please note we have used these two loops before, they will though be different as we hope the sun is shining and we will see blossom on the trees)

We plan to ride in small groups 6-8 and can accommodate approx. 30 riders at present, if needed we will be able to arrange another group . On return to base, we hope to be able to sit in the garden area and enjoy refreshments, we are expected, don’t forget to bring a face covering so you can walk to the counter to place your order.

It would be much appreciated if after you have ticked ‘GOING’ you could inform us of your ride choice on the FaceBook event as this will help the WBR team with planning (you can of course change your mind but as mentioned this info in advance will be extremely useful).

Finally, if there are concerns about the potential weather conditions, we will post a warning message on FaceBook the evening before and make the final decision at 7.30am on the morning of the ride.
