Jun 1, 6:30pm - Jun 1, 8:00pm

St Peters Garden Centre

Please note change of scenery/circuit this week.

Training session for skilled, smooth through-and-off paceline riding. Aimed at B/C riders either new to racing, wanting to improve their speed and skill, or those who find the 25 mph 'A' group chaingang too much. I aim to run these every 2-3 weeks through May-June leading up to the TLI evening race series if the interest is there.

This is a (potential) drop ride but the emphasis is definitely on the craft of paceline over getting a workout. We will start slow then aim steadily increase over 4 laps ~40 minutes but keep majority of group together, probably getting to around 20 to 22 mph. Riders should be reasonably fit and comfortable riding in a group and holding a wheel.

There will be a chat at the start to make sure everyone understands what's going on (i.e. I'll get on my soapbox about how I think it's done properly!).

The last leg - Stratford 70 - C Ride

The last leg - Stratford 70 - C Ride

May 22, 8:30am

Premier Inn Worcester City Centre

The last endurance training ride for Ride London. Just over 70 flatish miles to Stratford and back. This is a tried and tested route that originally came from the Ree's catalogue, so you know it is going to be good.

Speed, well not great for me at the moment so I will probably slow everyone down to a respectable 16 mph. This ride is all about the miles, so I am not going to fret about meeting the published speed. This ride sits under the C Category, please refer to the categories on the website wsjcc.co.uk/club-rides/

Route www.strava.com/routes/2938350922541599422

Cafe stop is likely to be the Pantry Cafe, although might change this as they don't do breakfast foods, just cakes and sandwiches. I am open to suggestions.

Important things to note
1. Start time is 8.30 am, if you want to go on the ride click on going (not maybe). If you change your mind, please remove yourself.
2. I am not a tour guide, pop the route on your garmin and remember this is a team effort. Everyone should be looking out for each other, if the front of are leaving someone behind you shout, if you lose someone you shout, and take your turn on the front. Especially if you are a giant.
