Wellbeing & Introductory Ride (Cancelled)

Jan 3, 10:00am - Jan 3, 12:30pm

Cob House Country Park & Mayfly CafeWorcester RoadWorcester,WR6 6YE Map

This ride will start from the Cob House, Worcester Road, Wichenford WR6 6YE on Sunday January 3rd 2021 meeting at 9.45am and setting off at 10.00 am. You may want to drive to this location and at this fairly early hour there should be plenty of parking and if you decide to cycle over it’s a scenic ride.

Two routes of approx. 10 miles have organised one round Wichenford and Martley Hillside and the second one takes us via Lower Broadheath and Hallow, we will be riding at an average of between 9-12 miles per hour and no one will be left behind. We will then return to the Cobhouse to enjoy socially distanced refreshments (please ensure you bring a face covering with you).

At present we can accommodate 18 riders in total and in line with the current Covid rules will be riding in groups of 6, if more sign up we will be able to organise another ride leader, please let us know if you are joining us via FaceBook or email. Finally, if there are concerns about the potential weather conditions, we will post a warning message on FaceBook the evening before and make the final decision at 7.30am on the morning of the ride. If you have mudguards it would be much appreciated if you could clip them on if the forecast predicts wet conditions.

This ride will start from Upton Marina on Sunday December 20th, 2020 meeting at 9.45 and then setting off at 10.00. You may want to drive to this location, there is parking on site.

The route will follow the two approx. 10-mile loops used earlier in the year and after the first loop we will pass the starting point so any rider wishing to drop off at this point can do so with ease. We propose to ride at an average speed of 9-12 mph, no one will be left behind and on return hope to enjoy refreshments following the Marina’s social distancing rules (please ensure you bring a face covering with you). All bike types welcome.

Please let us know if you are joining us via FaceBook or email. (We have space for 24 riders in total inlcuding the ride leaders and backmarkers). Finally, if there are concerns about the potential weather conditions, we will post a warning message on FaceBook the evening before and make the final decision at 7.30am on the morning of the ride.

St Peters Garden Centre

This ride will start from St Peters Garden Centre Norton on Sunday December 6th meeting at 9.45 and then setting off at 10.00am, we rode these two loops of approx. 10 miles back in August and have decided to use them again as they are tried and tested and fairly local. You may want to drive to this location, there is plenty of parking on site.

After the first loop we will pass the starting point so any rider wishing to drop off at this point can do so with ease. We propose to ride at an average speed of 9-12 mph, no one will be left behind and on return to the garden centre plan to enjoy a cup of coffee and a good chat subject to the café being fully open (please bring a face covering with you).

IN LINE WITH CURRENT COVID RULES WE WILL BE RIDING IN GROUPS OF SIX, there will be a ride leader at the front and a backmarker in each group, we are able to offer four groups if needed, therefore, can offer 24 places in total. Please let us know if you are joining us via FaceBook or email. If you have mudguards it would be much appreciated if you could clip them on if the forecast predicts wet conditions.

Finally, if there are concerns about the potential weather conditions forecast for the ride, we will post a warning message on FaceBook the evening before and make the final decision at 7.30am on the morning of the ride. Chadbury Farm Shop and CafeChadburyEvesham,wr114td Map

This ride will start from Chadbury Farm Shop Worcester Road Evesham WR11 4TD on Sunday October 25th, 2020 meeting at 9.15 and then setting off at 9.30. There is parking on site and we have been asked to park at the back of the buildings near to the café entrance.

The ride will consist of two loops of approx. 10 miles and after the first loop we will pass the starting point so any rider wishing to drop off at this point can do so with ease. Please note we are looking forward to our ride around Evesham, there are a few more hills on these routes, we have though tried to find two routes with as few as possible! Do note the second route takes us through the pretty town of Evesham out the other side round Charlton and Cropthorne and then back through Evesham, this will be the first time we will have cycled through a town and it will be much easier in our small groups and we are hoping it will be fairly quiet on a Sunday morning.

We propose to ride at an average speed of 9-12 mph, no one will be left behind and on return to the farm shop plan to enjoy a cup of coffee and a good chat (please ensure you bring a face covering with you).

In line with the latest government guidelines we will be riding in groups of six, there will be a ride leader at the front and a back marker in each, we have four ride leaders in place. Do let us know if you are joining us via FaceBook or email. Finally, if there are concerns about the potential weather conditions forecast for the day, we will post a warning message on FaceBook the evening before and make the final decision at 7.30am on the morning of the ride. If you have mudguards it would be much appreciated if you could clip them on if the forecast predicts wet conditions.
