Worcester St John’s Cycling Club has an active Youth Cycling membership. Our focus is on having fun in a safe off-road environment. Its great for young riders aged 6 – 12 who have either just started cycling or are ready to develop their skills and try some racing.
See our “Guidance for Parents” for full details and photo gallery. If you want to give it a go you will need to complete a “Parental Consent Form”.
Here’s our upcoming activities. Our Facebook book page and e-mail circulation list is the best place to look for rides as some are organised at short notice.
Youth Events Coming Up:
Reminder – Perdiswell Park this Friday 14th Sept. It’s a single group meeting at 6pm. Under 6’s welcome. Available for warm up from 5.30. If you came along to our summer events but haven’t been to Perdiswell before it’s a grass circuit so normal wider tyres needed. E-mail Paul to book – email@example.com.
Hill Climb Training – Have a go on this off-road tarmac climb at Elbury Mount in Worcester. Suitable for both off-road and road bikes with narrow tyres. Saturday 22nd Sept 11.00am. E-mail Paul to book and details on where to meet. You need to be over 6 and its best if you have gears on your bike – especially the lowest one! Nice flat circuit on top for some fun too!
On Saturday 6th October we’ll be returning to the grassy Kempsey Common at 2pm. There’s an option for those confident to ride on country lanes to meet at Diglis at 1pm for a group ride out (mostly off-road but some lanes). E-mail Martin to book – firstname.lastname@example.org
Reminder that on the 7th October we have our adult WSJCC Open Hill Climb at Shelsey Walsh. We will have a special competition for the Youth Group. E-mail Martin to book.
Watch out for more Saturday rides and special half term adventures.
