Cyclocross

Each Autumn WSJCC runs a round of the West Midlands Cyclo Cross League. These are great family fun events and anyone can enter from the youngest of kids to the oldest of seniors. There are lots of age categories and the race is for a set time period – eg 40 minutes for over 50’s. You try to complete as many circuits as you can in the time allowed – so if your worried about being the slowest, fear not, as once the bell goes everyone is on their last lap.

In 2021 the WSJCC round took place on Sunday October 17th at Lakeside Campus, University of Worcester, Holt, WR6 6NH. Results can be found on the WMCCL website. It is expected that the 2022 round will be at the same venue over a similar course.

Note that for 2021 there is a strict, no exceptions on line booking timetable. See British Cycling Events to find and pay for your desired event. Entries for non league registered riders will open on Sunday 2 weeks before the round you wish to enter and close one week later at midnight Sunday. Fees vary eg for under 10’s its £4 + £1 admin. There is usually a parking charge, often  payable in advance on line.  There is also a £3 insurance fee payable on the day at registration, in cash, for non British Cycling Members.
